When i retired, I tried oil painting and discovered I enjoyed it. I'm still learning and improving as an artist. I hope you enjoy the art work. Titled: My favorite fishing hole.

The sky color turned out with an amazing hue. I added a few highlights just enough to hint at sunshine through the clouds.

Painted on a 16” x 20” Double primed canvas sealed with semi-clear, non yellowing, UV resistant gloss.

TITLED: Winter Wonderland.

This painting took me a long time to complete. It was the first in my endevors to manipulate the sky. I know ..it looks like a gingerbread house! The tree out front has holiday lights as well as under the front part of the house. It was a challenge to do the lights as i’m partially color blind.

Painted on a 16” x 20” Double primed canvas sealed with semi-clear, non yellowing, UV resistant gloss.

TITLED: Lonely Tree .

I wanted to try moss hanging from a swampy tree, watch out for the bigfoot. (no bigfoot) just kidding.

TITLED: Rivers Bottom.

In this painting I tried to show the things under the water in the river. It was a challenge. Using the water movement to hint at things underneath.

Painted on a 16” x 20” Double primed canvas sealed with semi-clear, non yellowing, UV resistant gloss.

TITLED: Lost at Sea.

Working with this scene I wanted the rough sea to look and |”feel” like the viewer is in the painting. So they might feel what many sailors may feel when they cant find their way home. Playing between dark (left side), light (right side) leading to the thought of the sailors riding the edge of oblivion.

Painted on a 16” x 20” Double primed canvas sealed with semi-clear, non yellowing, UV resistant gloss.

TITLED: Springs First Hope.

I felt this one was a little to cold, hence, the red and yellow flowers Hinting that spring is just around the corner.

Painted on a 9” x 12” Canvas panel. Double primed canvas sealed with semi-clear, non yellowing, UV resistant gloss.

TITLED: This Old Tree.

The swamp can be a lonely place especially for this tree. Ferns mixed with colorful brush and a path to walk by this old tree. You know everyone that walks the trail has to stop and check out the Old tree.

Painted on a 16” x 20” Double primed canvas sealed with semi-clear, non yellowing, UV resistant gloss.

TITLED: Green Water.

This painting was done with a new brush stroke for the foliage. You can really feel the bark on the right Tree. I really enjoy the green water. But, I don’t think Ill be drinking from that… This one was completed at a art show as a demonstration.

Painted on a 16” x 20” Double primed canvas sealed with semi-clear, non yellowing, UV resistant gloss.

TITLED: Crossing.

Thought I would try one out of the box style. The bridge game me a run for my money but I think I captured the essence of it.

TITLED: Light House.

Playing with color and motion. This painting was made so you can feel the barnacles attached at the bottom of the light house. It was meant to be tactile.
